Burnet

Burnet is known as the bluebonnet capital of Texas, and hosts an amazing yearly bluebonnet festival in April that you do not want to miss. This town is truly a place of history. The Texas Rangers created a station in 1847 as protection for settlers, this area today is known as the one and only Burnet, Texas.

Enjoy yourself on some pristine holes at the Delaware Springs Golf Course and grab some lunch at a local favorite, Mama’s Home Cooking. There is a spectacular Christmas event every year that you don’t want to miss called Main Street Bethlehem. It will likely become a favored family Christmas tradition. Whether you're picking up moist brisket, or soaking up the sun on a trail, Burnet has everything you could want in a town.

When you think of Burnet, your first thought might not be to think of it being on Lake LBJ or Inks Lake, but it is! While the majority of the city is indeed not located on the lake, there is still a stretch of the city that is right on the pristine waters of Lake LBJ and Inks Lake. This area we are speaking of can be found by traveling north on the Colorado river from Kingsland until you run into Inks Lake. There are quite a bit of Burnet lakefront homes on the east side of Lake LBJ. A point of interest is Log Country Cove. From there you can travel on FM2342 passing the Perissos Vineyard and Winery and arriving at Heart of Texas Lake Resort, which are all located in Burnet on Lake LBJ.

Many people who reside in this area of the lake like the quiet privacy this spot provides. There are several gorgeous lake houses along this stretch for you to pick from. They range anywhere from $500,000 to $5,000,000, so something within everyone's budget can be found. Similar to other areas around Lake LBJ, you can rent short-term depending on the POA.

We would love to assist you in finding your next LBJ lake home.
